So. Anyone know any really good websites to pre-order anime figures from?
I've been using Google and it's not exactly helping me. ( Ex. Was considering Hobby Search, but...

I usually order figures via amiami (http://www.amiami.com/) or if they don't have the figure/it's sold out there, I sometimes use CDJapan as well (http://cdjapan.co.jp/). They're both Japan-based and sell stuff directly from there. And both have awesome customer services :) My friend also recommends play-asia (http://www.play-asia.com/) but I've never ordered from them, though I hear they're quite good as well. (Shipping cost to the US is really expensive though orz. I usually use air mail or registered SAL.)
Hi all! I've been rebuilding the Bosch 009 distributors for about 4 years. I'm trying to eliminate the 'flat spot' that these things are renowned for. I'm looking for...

I know that there's a lot of 009's out there. My personal collection has about 10 German versions. A lot more are the common Brazilian and Taiwan made copies. I haven't had a chance to examine the newer Chinese reproductions yet. My latest adventure is dissecting the 0 231 170 093 distributors. The last digits for the VW part number is 205S. I'd like to get more of them too, although they are the vacuum/centrifugal design, they share similar internal parts with the 009.

Thomas, I have an 010 and an 019. Both are in great condition. I took them apart, cleaned and lubed all moving parts, and rebuilt them with new shims. When tested on the Sun 504, I noted the flat spot on both of them. Yes, they have independent fly-weights and dual springs that have a momentary delay in their travel. Out came the stock points setup and I installed Pertronix Ignitors in both of them. Each one was tested on my 1776cc (dual 44IDF's & Engle 110 cam). I was not impressed. The 019 is better suited for my mild engine, but when I compared it to the 009 that I reworked, the 009 performed way better. All my research have been documented along with the graphs plotted for comparison. My next motor will be a 1904 (cam undecided yet) and that will be the test bed for the 010. Thanks for the suggestion though! Aloha!
