I know it's a cliché that mechanics are shady/rip-offs but there has got to be people out there who do honest work and don't rob you w/high hourlies and marked-up...

My dude Victor in Benicia's industrial park, about 10.5 miles from your home, does it all, he charges $60.00 to $70.00 an hour and has done several things free for me. If you tell him you're my bro, he'll give you the hookyup. 707-333-0990.

Frank and Paul in Walnut Creek. They are incredibly honest and not as expensive as other auto shops. I've convinced two other people to go to them and they will now only take their cars to them. I know people don't like Yelp but they have over 100 reviews and all of them are 5 stars. The ONLY issue I have is that they are not open on weekends and close around 4 pm. It sucks if you work during the week, basically. And they are so popular that sometimes it's hard to get an appointment quickly, however, they are SO honest and well priced. They saved me $500 two years ago. (925) 939-7964 2770 Camino Diablo, Ste A, Walnut Creek, CA 94597

Chad at AA Automotive in Concord is the best! 925-676-7601. Very fair, very honest and he doesn't try to upsell you on every little thing. We have gone to him for several years and he has been consistently good.
