Cheryl Ganly-Lewis from www.naturalbreastfeeding.co.nz is who you are looking for.
Jules H. replied:
sounds like the options are outlined as above Lisa. As others have stated, Cheryl is a LC. She works with several dentists in different locations who laser revise ties. Cheryl is present for the procedure and 'feels' how far released the tie is during the laser treatment and tells the dentist when to keep going/stop. As Rachel mentioned, dr Martin Minee is a GP in Palmerston North, his fee has recently gone up to $20. Feel free to message the admin team on the NZ tongue tie support page for informative web links or phone numbers for providers, or put a public post up to those who follow, and I encourage you to join the international TT page as lots of mum discussing situations and options.
Jenny F. replied:
Jackie Wheeler is a LLL Leader and a LC in Palmerston North. Jackie can be present at Dr Minee's to help with latching after the snip and during to help hold baby and support mum. You would need to contact Jackie.

You're looking for a referral to Dr Wayne Gillingham. He is the Oral & Maxilliofacial Surgeon and does tongue ties in the Wellington region. Expect a wait of several weeks though and it's a bit expensive (but SO worth it if it means you can BF comfortably!)
Can anyone recommend a dentist in Auckland who deals with lip ties? (I was just quoted $880 which seems insane! Is this the norm?)
Katie S. replied:
Do you want laser or snip? I second Yvonne LeFort for scissor cut, she was great but she won't snip the severe ties and rather refers them onto starship or Julian Holland who's an ENT specialist in newmarket (we used him, but he's expensive - though if you have health insurance it will cover). If you're after laser I can dig out the name of the person who was recommended for that in auckland. If you get referred to starship, make sure you get Nikki who is the expert there and in charge of the whole tongue tie gig.
Two questions:
1. Are there any groups near Auckland that have toddler meetings?
2. I recently noticed that I think my daughter has a lip tie. I think this explains why...
