Perhaps as a 17 year Nail tech and A certified Salon owner, I may share some info. Most salons pay for Licensed Aesteticians. In Ontario and one other province in Canada no license is required to practice. However, having stated this, we are required to meet Health Unit requirements. The problem (in my opinion ) is that anyone is able to open an "Aesthetics" business, in home or otherwise. Personally I would want to know that, the "professional" I choose has the proper education especially in the sanitization and sterlilization avenues. Having said that, sometimes some clients are driven by the cost of a service, so be it. Do yourself a favour and do your own due diligence ..... You owe it to yourself!!
