At Mamelodi Hospital we teach mommy to maintain ROM: fingers and wrist with every feeding, elbow and shoulder (especially external rotation of the shoulder) with every nappy change, and then not to pull on that arm. If there is no improvement/reinnervation by 3 months, refer to an orthopaedic surgeon
