The former owner may let you have their boundary survey. If they do not have a copy of it, you can get a copy through the company they used. If you can get a copy, you will still have to pay to get the boundary line staked between your neighbor but that will be a lot cheaper. I used to work at BMJ Engineers & Surveyors, Inc.
