Hi guys, can you please recommend a place where I can get really good (possibly the best) pizza in Prague?
Chris G. replied:
big, thin Italian pizzas - had the lunch time special on Wednesday - 99 Kc for soup & good pizza http://www.lunchtime.cz/modra-zahrada/#denni_menu

Looks like you will be eating Pizza for months at this rate....or Dr Oetker from Billa!
Nadia K. replied:
http://www.grosseto.cz/ They are absolutely amazing! Real Italian pizza. Since we tried pizza in one of their restaurants (Dejvice), we order only from them.
Lisa E. replied:
Pizza Nuovo is good so is Giallorossa (you have to make a reservation to eat in the restaurant, it is very small). But there to go window is 24 hours and really good. Not American good but good.

my favourite for the last ten years > http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g274707-d809299-r167600400-Baretta-Prague_Bohemia.html
Went to Pepe Nero last night. Pricey! 260 Kc for a vegetarian pizza is steep. Pizza was good but I'd say Pizza Neuvo has similar but better and a much more convivial dining atmosphere. But I digress. Crispy base pizza? Where to find it in Prague?
Chris G. replied:
right in the centre / good prices & 99 Kc M-F lunch time specials http://www.modrazahrada.cz/cz/
Howard C. replied:
Will have to try that one Chris Gardiner, looks great
Kevin D. replied:
Pizza Express restaurants in the UK is my pizza benchmark. Even though they are a chain they are pretty damn good.
Andrea G. replied:
Pizza Nuova is really like being back in Napoli. If you've eaten pizza in the home of pizza, then this is the place for you.
Kevin D. replied:
Pizza update - went to this place last night for a meeting. Great thin, crispy pizza...but its in sticksville. Urban desolation but great pizza http://www.cerreto.cz/
Jonathan O. replied:
There's a little take away/Italian Delhi in Strasnice close to the train station that ranks among my favourites... Only electric oven though... Also does the cheapest Italian products I've seen here...salamis, coffee and shit
Damen D. replied:
The pizza by the slice at Pizza Roma at I.P. Pavlova (slices to go/take away) has always been a favorite of mine. If you get a nice, fresh slice, hot from the oven, man, it's amazing. I don't think any pizza by the slice in Prague comes close to theirs. I've also been consistently pleased with Pizza Roma (different company, same name) on Jagellonska in Zizkov. They are open 365 days a year, 24 hours a day... in other words, the oven never sleeps, and that is very important for pizza, as the oven has to be well-seasoned. Fresh at the table there, the crust is always perfect. There was an ownership change some time in the last year or so, and it slightly dipped after that, but quickly came back to the previous standard (I live next door, so have eaten a lot of them). The pizza Gurman is probably one of the tastiest pizza recipes I've ever tried. Apart from that, Pepe Nero on Bilkova is incredible as people here say, and the pizza chef is Italian and sources all of his ingredients direct from Italy.

Ola Velner, I've not tried them but saw it advertised, Chicago style pizza delivery: http://www.chicago-pizza.cz/

Grosseto for decent pizza http://pizzacipolla.cz/ best delivery pizza in prague, they are willing to make spicy pizzas properly spicy There is a place near staromestka, opposite the tram track from the four seasons that is reasonably priced and simply amazing

Pizza Nuova in Namesti Republiky
Francesco-Paolo S. replied:
Update. After all this talking about pizza, I got hungry and I decided to try Pizza Nuova (Ambiente), which is 5 mins walk from my place. Pizza was very good and now it's on the first spot, in my ranking. Actual San Marzano tomatoes and Italian mozzarella. We are talking about the "soft and dripping" type, obviously.: D
Nigel R. replied:
well first off do you like Italian style pizza or American style pizza.....keep in mind that in American we take everyone else's food and make it better (add more butter, more toppings, add more fatty stuff, add more sugar, etc). If you want American style Pizza then go to Fasty's......not a nice sit down place, more a hole in the wall, but the pizza is the best I've had in Prague which is littered with terrible pizza joints.....sometimes I feel like the Czech national pastime is making terrible pizza because there are so many! They deliver as well! http://fastys.cz/

DaEzio: http://www.daezio.cz/ Former owner/manager of Rugantino's. New place, only open a few months so far, but well worth the trip out into the hinterland.

Everything Is Best (about Banzan Zen monk) When Banzan was walking through Prague he overheard a conversation between a pizza man and his customer. "Give me the best piece of pizza you have," said the customer. "Everything in my pizzeria is the best," replied the pizza men. "You cannot find here any piece of pizza that is not the best." At these words Banzan became enlightened.
Grant P. replied:
Pizza Nuova is the best place i've found. The pizza diavola is amazing!
Alejandro G. replied:
Evino, Pepe Nero in Bilkova. Guaranteed.
Bryan C. replied:
Heston Blumenthal says that Ambiente Pizza Nuova near Palladium is the only place where he has had pizza which is similar to a genuine Naples margherita pizza. I agree it's very good there. http://www.gq-magazine.co.uk/entertainment/articles/2013-03/06/gourmet-fast-food-pizza-kebab-reviews

You can rent a playroom for your child and his friends. I believe there's one in the nove butovice mall. There's food, cake, etc in the package. Maybe you can get some good ideas https://m.facebook.com/groups/71573593160?ref=bookmark from the group Kids in Prague

This could be really cool, but the problem is that it might be a bit far. But I have no idea where you live. http://www.arcadehry.cz/homepage It seems like it's closed for day-to-day operation until mid-March, but it's still available to rent. I have no idea how much that would cost etc. Maybe you could send an e-mail and check. Here's also a expats article on the place: http://www.expats.cz/prague/article/prague-technology/video-game-museum/
