We have been told by the school dentist that our 7 year old daughter needs to see an Orthodontist due to overcrowding. Does anyone know someone who is good with kids,...
Anna M. replied:
John muir , comes to puke once a week in building opp med centre on west st ph 09 278 5804, did a good job of my daughters teeth
Trina H. replied:
I go to kids-teeth in medowbank. They are the only paediatric dentists in the Auckland area and although not cheap, worth every penny! www.kidz-teeth.com they have been brilliant for my son who was born without enamel on his molars (pregnancy complications) not even 1 filling and over 6 yr old now.
Carolyn F. replied:
Yes If I could go back in time I would have waited until After I got my wisdom teeth Christine Milliner. My brother is a dental technician and he says the exactly same thing.
Leah P. replied:
Innes Dental in Papakura are fantastic with our 8 year old and if you need orthodontic work you can pay it off over the course of the treatment. Plus i think they do a free initial consult.
Shona G. replied:
Pukekohe Orthodontists are great. My daughter just got a plate from there and she is super relaxed about the whole thing. Over crowding needs to be sorted early to avoid problems later, it doesnt mean braces
Sharleen W. replied:
I recommend Innes Dental in Papakura as well!!
Tania H. replied:
Here is an exceptional deal!!! Hillpark Dentalhttp://www.groupy.co.nz/auckland/braces689504
Christine M. replied:
Yes Innes dental
Fiona W. replied:
my son is going thru Susan Clow at The Dentist at Pukekohe, he's 7 and has plates, highly recommend!!
Casey P. replied:
My 6 year old daughter has just got palate expansion plates from Susan Clow at The Dentist pukekohe as well. The idea is to make room for the adult teeth now and therefore not need teeth pulled and braces in their teens. Easier (and cheaper) to do it now.
Karen J. replied:
we have been using John Hodgson in Papatoetoe for the last 3 years including a daughter who had overcrowding - he used rubber spacers between her teeth to make room. he's been fantastic, can pay off over time. He's extremely experienced (did my braces 30 yrs ago) and qualified.
Kerry W. replied:
My son had over crowding too but nothing was done until he went to college as they said to leave it until then. He had teeth removed then had braces put on by John Muir in Pukekohe who was excellent. His teeth now look great!
Melanie R. replied:
John Muir, excellent results, lovely person to deal with, explains things thoroughly and is in Pukekohe as well as Papatoetoe
Lorraine H. replied:
Ron Ritchie 'Tomorrow's Dentistry Today' They are amazing
Jenny D. replied:
John Muir
Jillian S. replied:
Trevor Webster Remuera. Used a night brace on my 11 yr old to widen the jaw first and now have braces to straighten teeth and guide into the gaps. Very reasonably priced. Is really good with kids.
Sam D. replied:
John Muir did my braces two years ago, was coming to Puke once a week & worked out of the dental center opp Med Center but then moved to dental clinic opp Pure Indulgence & now no longer comes to Puke but it's worth the drive to Papatoe!
Leanne W. replied:
John Muir papatoetoe. Use to come to PUKEKOHE once a week.
Amber L. replied:
I go to Trevor Webster in Remuera, he has a very good reputation, braces are expensive though but so worth it
Antonia R. replied:
John Muir is good. Did mine and my brothers braces a few years ago
Danielle F. replied:
My son had a spacer put in by Dr Innes in Papakura. He's been around for years and is a proper orthodontist. We found him reasonable and he'll tell you straight up if you need braces or not.
