Gary, you don't need funds for a workman comp case. The court sets all the fees and permanent/temporary disability benefits. The lawyer gets a small piece but not 1/3 like civil cases. There is a schedule the judge will use depending how many weeks out and the injry itself. There will be certain fees but you get most of the money. In addition you have 2 years after you receive your check to re-open your case, just in case it did not heal right, etc... Also you can not file a work comp claim until 6 months after your last treatment with your Doctor. But you still need to see an attorney before so he can get injury report etc... so he can file immediately after the time period. Bob Driscoll Again I have used Pete Kenny for over 20+ yrs.
Well I really had a messed up night tonight, was in a car accident and my car is totalled, spent the last six hours in the hospital. Does anyone know of a good attorney?
