My neighbor is a straight up and honest HVAC guy. I'd bet my reputation on him. If you're interested, let me know and I can give you his contact info. Like others have said, there's a wide range of pricing based on a lot of factors, but I can guarantee he won't take advantage of you.

Castle plumbing/HVAC is in the South Hills. http://www.castlephc.com/ The owner (Mark) and his son are the only two employees. I've had them come out a few times and have never had a bad experience.

I have used Beam for years, They are fantastic. Came over during Superbowl Sunday one year. They even walked me through a fix one time, it took about 20 minutes on the phone and they didn't even charge me. I bought our new air conditioner from them without even shopping around. They are the best. On the other side of the coin, I called Gillece, with their same day or it's free guarantee, and they simply said no, and never delivered on the promise they made, but I expect that from those scumbags. Avoid them at all costs. Don't believe me? Just ask The Google. But you better watch what you say online, [they are so scummy they might sue you for voicing your opinion.](http://www.wtae.com/article/company-sues-to-reveal-identities-of-online-critics-1/7461032)

My father used Phillips for years and when I bought my house the 1 st thing he did was pay for them to come out and check my system. Saved me the cost of a new AC by tracing the mistake in installation by the previous company

I used A&P Furnace in North Versailles for an inspection on old units and then a furnace and A/C replacement this summer and liked them. I got a bunch of quotes from different places in the South Hills and they were all within $500 of each other for equivalent things (same size, efficiency level, etc. -- if you don't compare apples to apples you'll get 2x variations). A&P was the most pleasant and professional of the lot (and I think had good reviews on Angie's List or something), so I went with them. Sales/service guy was great to work with and worked to figure out what I really needed, and the install crew was very professional and thorough. I remain happy, so I have them doing another replacement of a different unit later this month too.

We used AirPro a few years back, they did a good job. Nice Lennox installed with all the venting for ~$5 k

I pm'd you. I have multiple references just from in the comments here.

There are a lot of different factors that go into how expensive the replacements are going to be (including the configuration of your current venting and the size of your home). We just got quotes for a new furnace and ac unit. We need some venting retrofitting and are looking for high efficiency units. Our quotes ranged from $5,800-$9,000, depending on the performance level of the equipment. A friend of mine just had to replace just his furnace and it ran him $4000.

We replaced our whole AC/heating system this summer. We used Mike's Heating & Air, Inc. in Anderson (530-365-2060) and were pleased with their work. In the past, we've used Air-O Service(530-221-4691) and they have done a great job.
Are there any job groups? Can't seem to find any. :(

What a bummer Tammy ! I am so sorry. I fell in November in a patients room and no one could figure out why I was having headaches, blurred vision and terrible ear pain. I took a wild leap and went to my Chiro and he diagnosed me with a strained Sternocl eidomastoid (whiplash). I highly recommend him, his name is Dr. LiVolsi. Seeing him, his massage therapist and the stretches they are showing me are the only reason I am getting through this. I hope you heal soon!
