I do sell seedlings, but not broccoli or spinach. Spinach you might start by seed. I sell tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, probably some lettuce, although seeding that should be easy. Also herbs and a few flowers, especially zinnias. Check out my plants at hattiesgarden.com if you want. Going to be a few weeks yet...Looks like snow again!

First time vegetable gardener here. Where would you suggest I buy my plants from? I don't want to start with seeds, I want to buy actual plants. Thanks!
Libby S. replied:
We use Lowes, Home Depot, Tom Best's, and Peppers.

Courdrey Nursery
Suzette S. replied:
DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT use Lowes or Home Depot, or Walmart/kmart ALL of these places sell plants sprayed with bee killing sprays. ASK at Peppers or East Coast, the nurseries are usually very open about not knowing or knowing. Harriet Hattie Allen (Hatties Garden) is organic only & local, Windsors Plants/flowers on Rt one are very honest and will point out what they have grown from seed and know is not sprayed, what they have purchased and know is sprayed, and what they are unsure about - just ask. Do not go with anyone corporate or big, you will kill bees and possibly birds.
Libby S. replied:
Suzette Stewart is referring to neonics This pesticide must now be labeled. I have found only one plant that was treated with neonics. She is correct. Neonics are harmful to bees.
