Looking for the best place to make orthotics to go in your shoes.
Lesley R. replied:
the rest of that response is the name of the place, Foot Management, 410-835-3668
Bobbi W. replied:
See Dr Orsini. It may not be your feet. If you have a back problem nothing in this world can be done to help your feet.
Kenny M. replied:
Dr. Jacob Hanlon... Bayhealth. DE's top Podiatric and Microvascular Surgeon... only one who does both. Tell him I sent you... not that you'll get a discount, but he'll tell you stories of us growing up.
Patty L. replied:
Dr Feehery
Linn H. replied:
I had some kind of pain in my heel...went to Foot Management in Pittsville and they fixed me and my heels up...and i've never had any issues since.
Pam H. replied:
Try Vernon Powell.

VP Shoes
Brian G. replied:
100% agree with Darin. I've worn them since a small child. Each foot should be cast. Do not fall for the "stand and press your foot in the foam". It would be a bit of a travel but MedStar Union Memorial Hospital has an outstanding ortho center and have made my devices from day one.
Teri A. replied:
Darin McMahon is correct, a mold/cast is the proper way to benefit for corrective measures, ie fallen arches, tendon probs among a few. MedStar is wonderful !
Debra H. replied:
Dr Tracy Hudson.... Makes a digital cast and orthotics are guaranteed
I have an odd question and need some advice. My grandmother would like to bronze some baby shoes, does anyone know who can do that in our area or close by? Any advice...
I have plantar fasciitis and need to find some indoor shoes to wear in the house. Local recommendation for knowledgeable staff?
Sharon M. replied:
See Dan at Vernon Powell. He works with PTs and local podiatrists' recommendations. Went to him after getting plantar faciitis, and he hooked me up with excellent tennis shoes and Vionic sandals. Also heard good things about NSoles.
Debi D. replied:
Josef Siebel clogs .... pricy and sooooo worth every penny.
Joyce B. replied:
See David Trader at Vernon Powell . He has worked with shoes & feet all his life !
Jennifer B. replied:
There is a plantar fasciitis Facebook group. There are so many suggestions on there. Around the house I wear Orthoheel slippers. You can get them on Amazon, and I did see them at Vernon Powell a while back.
Debra E. replied:
I would go the Comfort Shoe Store by the Pickled Pig on route 1 in Lewes. They have a really knowledgeable staff and many good choices. Vernon Powell is good for fitting too, but I prefer the brands at the Comfort Store.
Jennifer B. replied:
Agreed. Comfort Shoes has been great as well. If you are new to plantar fasciitis, you'll soon find that it seriously sucks, and finding the right shoes become your new obsession. I buy my arch supports at Comfort Shoes, and they started carrying a line of shoes called ABEO that have helped me with work/dress shoes.
Anyone know if their are thrift stores or stores of that nature who will BUY things to RESELL???
Cleaning out a ton of stuff.....
Kids clothes girls (4/5t - 6) and boys...
Jaime S. replied:
Uptown Cheapskate in Salisbury and Style Encore in Dover will buy clothing. Not sure about the rest.
Jaime S. replied:
Kid 2 Kid is in Salisbury right by Uptown Cheapskate. They'll take the kid things. Uptown Cheapskate is more young adult/trendy clothing. Style Encore is for women's/more classy. Plato's Closet in Dover also resells trendy, young adult things.
Is there any place in Sussex County to get shoes stretched? I have some leather slippers that need to be made a little bit bigger. I'd really prefer to not bring them to...
Holly D. replied:
VP Shoes on Rt 1 does it. But I wear a womens size 12 so if I put them on I'm sure they will stretch quite a bit. Haha
Need a shoe repair place ASAP... I just cracked the sole of my most comfortable working shoes and the manufacturer no longer makes that shoe anymore :-(
