A year ago there was a Mehadrin meat sit down restaurant/greaser in Bilu. I don't know if it exists anymore. There is also Mehadrin Greg in Modiin Mall. A Mehadrin Aldo (ice cream/crepe) in Nes Tziona mall. There are at least Mehadrin dairy restaurants in Rishon. (Cafe Cafe, Alfredo and some other one I don't recall the name at the moment). For fancy sit down dairy place, go to Shvil Ha'izim. These are all a 15-20 minute radius from Rehovot.

Kadita (in Timurim) is both yummy and romantic. It's on the way to Ashdod. It's meaty and also has a great yard for Nili to run around. In the Mazkeret area (not that you asked for recommendations, but..) Shvil Izim in Tal Shachar is great. It's dairy and has a great atmosphere. Same thing with Cafe Rona in Kibbutz Shiller.

What type of occasion? Pappadrella is very good. Tamara and I had a good time at Bleeker Bakery. Burgerim is very tasty. Etz Hatut has good salads.

If u need the more upscale then tokopaya or Margaux are best. If the ethnic or more local flavor then Pundak Chaim in sha'arayim is nice. Mideast grill restaurant.

There's a burger place on the main drag in Nes Ziona with Bet Yosef hashgacha, and a nice cafe - Cafe Rothschild - is slated to open soon if not already. Rehovot has pathetic dining options for Mehadrin. Disappointing.
