I just had the best and safest ride in the worst weather late Sunday night - Incline to the airport. Clean car, gave a safety overview of status of tires etc. Steve at 775-745-6424 - said he is so reliable that you can make an appointment a year in advance and he will call you the week before to confirm. Great guy.

Would help if you gave more info - shifter on column or floor? Is it loose? Can you easily shift? Have you checked the transmission fluid (top of my suspect list) & does it smell burned? Notice any oil spots under car? Any grinding, 'whirring' or burning smells when you run it? Sure the parking brake is released? Anyone steal your wheels? Did you let the clutch all the way out? Dunno how braking would cause auto tranny grinding. Eh, what do I know, I wrench airplanes.

We took car to tire to nearby tire plus. They are saying front brake pad and rotor damaged. Also said it also calipers also damaged. any thoughts on how much norm costs to replace front brake system (pads, rotors, calipers )

Sounds like a broken axle to me. Missing some info. If it’s a transmission problem with something to do with it electronically, most of the time the d light will flash
