My wife and I have been pretty happy with [Dr. Tran at Town Center Family Medicine](http://www.towncenterfamilymedicine.com/phys-tran.php). Our only complaint is that it can be hard to get someone from Town Center on the phone.

[Dr. Mike Silverstein out of Herndon Family Medicine.](http://www.herndonfamilymedicine.com/) Family friend and just a real gentleman. Always been happy with his assistance keeping me patched together.

My wife and I were really pleased with [Generations Family Practice](http://www.generationsfp.com/). They've got some hot MA's, and they have the gall to ask why you've got high blood pressure after touching you to test your breathing and heart rate.

[Dr. Dennis Sager in Reston Medical Center](http://www.sagermedicine.com/) is darn pretty good. Very through and attentive. Had my annual physical and, whereas it took an hour, it was all with the doctor. He actually takes the time to meet with patients and talk to them. Very nice man and quite competent. Also, as a bonus, he's an FAA Medical Examiner (if you need that). Don't let the website fool you; it's a bit dated but Dr. Sager isn't:-)

I'm in Arlington, so this may not make sense for you as they only name offices downtown DC, but I really like one medical. It's an extra $200/year, but they do a great job taking their time with you, same day appts, and using technology (apps, email... imagine that!) to keep you connected and informed.

My PCP is James Long as [NovaMed](http://www.novamedassociates.com/) in Fairfax, VA. Unfortunately, their website says they don't take Kaiser. I'd still give them a call, since the list of the website just might be out of date.

I live in Alexandria, but I go to **Vienna Family Practice** in Vienna. It's a great practice with a lot of doctors, so even if your PCP isn't there, another PCP or NP will help. The NPs there are so good. They have walk-ins M-W mornings just in case you have an urgent matter and they have urgent care 8-12 on Saturday, which I have used a few times. They have a Lab Corp in the same building, so you just have to walk downstairs to get your blood tests. Dr. Louise Reynolds has been my doc for 11 years, but the others are good as well. BONUS: Right next door to Whole Foods, so you can get your grocery shopping on.

I have Crohns disease and have been seeing Dr. Richard Ranard in Fairfax since I was diagnosed in 2007. He's very knowledgable, attentive, and thorough. With his treatment, I've been able to reach a point where the disease is very manageable. The only downside is that he sometimes takes too much time with his patients and ends up behind schedule causing you to have a bit of a wait.

I recently went to Dr Axelrod at [The Gastroentrology Group](http://www.thegi-group.com/) in Reston and was very impressed. He was very thorough with his questions and was able to write me a clear and decisive plan of action. I was able to get an appointment fairly quickly (within a week), which was definitely nice. Would overall very highly recommend.
Alright Reston friends - any recommendations on primary care physicians for adults in reston/herndon area? I switched from Kaiser and now need to find a regular doctor...

Don't use Dr. Acula. All he wanted to do was draw blood from my neck.

If you don't mind going over to Country side, we like our doctors there, Dr. Coleman. Our chiropractor is in the same building, love him. Dr. Coleman has onsite labs, get blood work done at the same place.
