Ive used Portland vets for years without any issues at all .
Alison F. replied:
James Richard Grove. Lovely chap. As for the vet - only time I would ever use Retford's vet is in an emergency (like all the others are closed). I use Raoul Dowding in Gainsborough and Pinfold House in Misterton. Dowding is cheaper, but Pinfold House are more modern. Both are very good.

I have always found Portland House Vets good-never had a problem. Ok if they are slightly more expensive- but if you factor in travel costs going further afield it surely balances out.

Vets for pets in Worksop are really good and fairly priced. Raoul Dowding himself is a fabulous vet and if I still had my German shepherd, I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Andy W. replied:
Portland House, in town. Their vets are superb and all the staff are supremely friendly and caring. They are as reasonably priced as anywhere and their out of hours is far later/longer than anywhere locally.
Ben H. replied:
Up until recently used Portland. Great vets, good out of hours service and cheaper than most in that respect. But, last few times that have attended, their prices have been rather expensive. I now take my dogs to Chapel House in chesterfield, Chris Mann, absolute god sent. And their cheaper by far, worth the time and petrol.
Looking for a rabbit savvy vet suggestions locally please. I think my nethie has snuffles & we are trying to find a good local vet to take her to. We don't particularly...

We took our rabbit to Portland vets as he had snuffles and they was fantastic. Admittedly it was very expensive but the medication we were given was well worth the money and it's saved our much loved pet and he's still here today!
Beverley H. replied:
I use Raul Dowding in Gainsborough, they are really good in an emergency, reasonably priced and i never have a problem getting my bunny an appointment.

Hi,
Urgent request. Are there any vets and farmers out there that can help my daughter please. She needs to gain 2 weeks ( or 68 hours) work experience in both as soon...
Natalie J. replied:
My sister in law did this to get on her vetinary course. She went to Raoul Dowdings vets once a week on a Tues after school for a while and a sheep farm where you stay with them (a family) for a week during lambing season xx
