Recommendations for a mechanics shop quality work..affordable..knowledgeable about timing chain chains and why after we changed it now it's miss firing. Need to get it...
Robert B. replied:
these guys are absolutely the best. been going to them for 25 years. one thing I love about them is they will tell when something can wait or does not need done. They also tell us when it would be cheaper to sell the vehicle instead of spending more money on repairs. the only thing we don't take to them is warranty work that the dealer should fix. https://johnsautoshop.com/

I work at Elsen brothers in Richfield. I’d be happy to do a quote tomorrow and look into what we’re talking about here. That seems extremely expensive for a radiator even from a dealer. I’ve been doing cars for 15 years and I’d say only Audi or vw that require lots of labor cost that much. I’m assuming your coolant temp sensor is the problem sensor causing the computer to think is cold and flooding it. Message me your vehicle information and best way to contact you if you’d like.

Andy & George's in Bloomington is pretty good. They almost always have someone there to give courtesy rides - I've always been able to get a ride home or to work which are both in Richfield.

I've been using Penn Auto on 66 th and Penn for my last two cars. They're nice guys who give an honest opinion that's not influenced by how many service add-ons they can talk you into. Prices have always been reasonable, too.

You probably have enough suggestions already, but Fixt Rite Auto on 56 th and Lyndale has been good to my family over the years. They're not going to be the cheapest game in town, but the work is done right and Dan and Pete (the guys that run it) are genuinely nice guys that want to help you out. http://www.fixtrite.com/
