I tried Altberg couple of years ago....sent them back...could'nt even get my foot in the boot....did post on here at the time got replies saying same thing...so they not that good....i having same issue as Stuart Moore at the moment....

DH autos in Newcastle under Lyme. Friendly staff, good selection and keen prices. I always go there first, then have a shop around but always end up back there for the purchase.

I've tried a wide range of boots including Alt berg, Hein and Daytona. Have Daytona boots - beautifully made - however experience of off and on road riding has taught me this kind of boot provides little impact protection to the toes and metatarsal bones and rotational damage to the ankle. Suggest you try Sidi - like Sidi Adventure Gore-Tex or Deep Rain Motorcycle or Courier Boots. They look odd at first for a touring bike - but actually work.

Go to J & S Accessories in Birmingham or Northwich - good choice of makes & sizes. I tried Daytonas on there then bought them online direct from Germany. Loads cheaper and here in 48 hrs
