Hey RVA, can anyone recommend a good auto detailing service? I'm buying a used car and the inside is a little dirty, e.g. stains on the seats/carpet, some dirt built up...

I can't vouch for quality but the guys on Main St across from Poe's Pub (down from Millie's) seem to generally have a few cars sitting outside to be detailed.

If you want to support a high school start-up my brother will do it for you for pretty cheap. PM me and I can give you his number.

Flagstop Carwash does detailing at a few of their locations. I know the one in Chesterfield off Rte 10 does a good job. Bit of a hike though.

I know this isn't a nice direct route but you could also check detailing forums (meguiar's for instance) for local detailers. I detail cars but only personally and for friends, but there are guys out there who are true masters. Interior is all about the right equipment, patience and elbow grease. Granted the same could be said for the exterior, but there it is an art form.

I've heard nothing from great things about Concours, and always see multiple 6 figure cars in their shop. I believe a regular sized sedan, interior/exterior/engine bay is only like 200-250. The car will look brand new when you get it back.

Car Pool - 100 times over. It may cost more but it will be worth it. "Dude Car Pool? That's so conformist... go to the guy at the shack, he'll do it for half." -Richmond City Hipsters
