Talia I just used Green Clean. They have a really good valpak coupon. They do a good job, just make sure they're specific about which areas the coupon includes. They also charge per step if you have your stairs done.

My dad cleans carpet. Call 804,737,6195 It's clean or it's free. We use the dry host method which is recommended by Martha Stuart and no shampoo residue will be left behind to corrode the root of the carpet.
Looking for a carpet cleaner who will come get a 9x13 area rug and clean it and return it to me. It can’t be cleaned here because there is no room big enough to put it...

Good rug cleaners? So I just had a very large (I'd say 12' x 16') hand made Persian rug passed on to me by my parents, and while it is beautiful, it is in desperate need...

Simply Clean, owned by Trent Walker and Kenny Epps. I worked with Trent for seven years cleaning carpets and rugs before he started his own business and he really knows what he"s doing. In home cleaning can be $100 or more, and taking the rug for in plant cleaning can easily be double that price. It's an expensive rug so its not cheap to clean. If you opt for in home cleaning you might get a discount if you have other things cleaned, like furniture or wall to wall carpet. And ask whatever company you contact about fringes if that's something you need cleaned. Fringes can be tricky and some companies won't touch them at all besides dry vacuuming.
If there are any stains on the rug or God forbid pee stains from pets, don't get your hopes up about getting those stains out. Wool rugs will stain very easily because wool is more absorbent and won't let discolorations go as easily as nylon or olefin carpets. But a good overall cleaning will keep it looking good for a long time and you can pass it onto your next generation. Seriously, look up Simply Clean on Google and talk to Trent and he will give you as much info as you like, even if you don't book an appointment with him. Hope this helps and good luck!

[Christian-Lorraine Oriental Rugs ](http://www.clrugs.com) sells nice rugs, and describe their cleaning process and pricing on their site. Orientals can be finicky and delicate depending on their dyes and age. Call some of the area rug dealers and talk to them before making your choice. An heirloom like yours should be treated with great care and respect.

I use Hadeed-Mercer in Scott's Addition. They'll pick them up and deliver too.

Christian Lorraine just did one of my rugs and it cost a little more than what I paid for it over 20 years ago. That included reweaving a few small holes. While you do need to keep it clean, you may need a bank loan to do it.
