Give it a shot using the mygov website first. If your tax isn't too hard it should automagically pull everything from your bank accounts and listed jobs attached to your TFN. Otherwise, I'll let someone else answer.

hmm, not sure how close to *"$150 or whatever"* this is, but we use Doquile Perrett Meade, for accounting, mortgage, and more services all under one roof http://www.dpmfs.com.au/ roughly $400 - $500 annually, and we get back 15 x -18 x that, annually. For us it's worth it alone in time and effort saved.

I see Jarrod at Beyond Accountancy in the cbd, about $165 for a personal return. He's great. Also can do it all online if you can't make it in or if you prefer.

My [friend's company](http://www.globaltaxconsulting.com.au/) does my taxes for me. Sorted out some tricky tax issues I had. Definitely recommended!

H&R Block, been around for ever and it's all no fuss. If you can recall the film Easy rider when Jack N gets out of the nick for serving time for D&D you will see him standing underneath a H&R Block sign. They did my tax returns for years and it was a bit complicated. there cool.

Chris Gatewood is good.

It's Gatewood or bust. There are 0 other options that are worth mentioning, unless you're WELL funded. Also, DM me about your startup. While there's an extremely good chance you already have access to my network, if you don't we'd love to plug you in. Startups in RVa gotta stick together!
