Tailor was cool. Not my favorite girlfriend, we grew apart pretty quickly, but if you've got a lot in common, go for it! edit: word

[Oksana at Fashion Design is great](http://fashiondesignva.com/). More expensive than most places, but she's done several suits for me that have all come out great.

Sandy’s Alterations in Sycamore Square on Midlothian Tpke. 804-378-0925 I’ve been going there for years. She’s done all of my stuff, from bridesmaid dresses and dance costumes to hemming and patches. Amazing work for a super fair price.
BMEDoc replied:
All of these threads usually begin an end with Oksana from Fashion Design on Broad. She's not the cheapest, but she's absolutely the best. (Not unreasonable by any means, but expect 20% more than anywhere else). Even if you only get the suit/jacket done there, you won't be sorry. Suits/tux/etc come out of her shop looking like they were custom made for you.

Oksana on Broad is the best. She altered my wedding dress. For price and speed, RVA tailor in scott's addition. They do a really good job at a reasonable price.

I’ve been taking my suits to Robert’s Dream on Forest Hill. He was able to turn one around in 3 days. He has always done a good job and is cheaper than the Jos A. Banks and men’s warehouse.

I would go to https://www.twitter.com/heidistorystore —she takes alterations and is great. Have also heard good things about Fashion Design on W. Broad.

Sylvia's Stitch and Sud on Sheppard St. Took me a 4 days to get my pants back and for good reason, shes constantly swamped with work.
tiglathpilesar replied:
I agree with the Leviner Wood comment below, their work is great. But I think you were asking more in lines with, "I already have the suit, how do I make them fit?" If that's not the question then disregard and go with Leviner Wood. If that's what you meant, try Diane who owns the dry cleaners at the corner of 18 th and Broad across from McDonald's. She's been doing my suits for years. Never had her do a shirt, so I can't speak to that.

[Vincent's](https://plus.google.com/107221736686505076164/about?hl=en) recently did some good work for me. It's also who I was recommended when I wandered into Leviner Wood's last year when I was trying to get something altered (I was too late to have anything done by the holiday, so I shelved it until... recently). I just had them shorten the sleeves of a jacket and a coat, though (that said, the coat was heavy wool and significantly more complicated, and they did a very nice job)

For general tailoring I like the lady on the corner of strawberry near the market and what not. For a reasonable suit and tailoring I like Macy's in regency and the tailor the use on the second floor. Have helped me out when I needed work done with a very tight timeframe.

Dude George's alterations is the best! He is an old dude that has been doing it for like 40 years in Richmond. I've used natale's but it's about 40% more expensive for equal quality. Charged me 40$ to adjust my coat sleeve length alone. Turned out good though
