Hi Wille! I'm currently in (and from) Recife and in case you need to rush to any hospitals around, I'd recommend Real Hospital Português, Hospital Memorial São José, Hospital Santa Joana. Not sure if you're also willing to get health insurance, but Assist Card helped me big time while abroad and it ended up being cheaper than having to pay extra for myself. www.assistcard.com Safe travels!:)

I used a dermatologist called Bruno Faria. His English is good and he has a nice manner. I did have some problems with his receptionists who don't speak English but now I just email him when I need an appointment
