What type of genres are you into? Different companies often specialise in different genres, you see. Are we to assume you'd prefer 28-32 mm scale or are you looking for bigger, artsy 54 mm scale or even busts to paint?

I’d recommend browsing local stores for individual minis catch your attention or finding a board game with minis you’d want to paint. Buying individual will keep it cheap and you can have variety. Buying a board game will give you a lot of minis for good value, sometimes $1 or $2 per mini.

Anybody know of anyone wanting a summer job being a brush hand to a seriously good painter & decorator (me) for around 4 months... Reasonable ability with a paint brush...
