Replacing a spa pack. Thinking of going with gecko. Can anyone recommend a good spa pack under $500? I'm looking at the gecko series and cannot tell the difference...
HonestEditor replied:
Unless you're wanting in.touch or need for the spa pack to be waterproof (because it's located somewhere that might flood), I don't know there is a real advantage of picking a standard gecko name-brand units over the Hydroquip or others. Only other difference I can think of is that the top side controller is different (note that some might be smaller or larger than your current one - so research the min/max size you can tolerate). And I can't really find an advantage of the x-series over the y-series: * http://geckoxseries.com/docs-xe/ * http://www.yseries.ca/docs-ytye

I prefer the balboa vs packs for upgrades, to many issues with the Geckos, especially the in.xe

Mission Inn. 45$ pedicure and you get to stay there all day. Pool. Jacuzzi. Sauna. 2 free drinks. Fruit. Nuts. You can have food delivered. Beware of extra charges though. Free valet. Shower. Relaxation rooms. My friends and I go there all day and just get pedicures and enjoy the amenities. Seriously. Worth it.
