Just closed on a house a few weeks ago using VA. The realtor I worked with was excellent. Knew the ins and outs. Was attentive and very quick to respond any time. Shoot me a PM if you’d like his info.

I used the VA loan when I bought a home in NJ. All the VA stuff was done through the mortgage company and the realtor just makes sure the seller will accept a VA loan. A quick google search pulled up this [article](https://www.veteransunited.com/valoans/how-to-build-a-home-with-a-va-loan/) for using the loan for new construction.

Well we take possession of our new house this week. The realtor was great. A few headaches along the way but I’d expect that in any similar transaction type. Nothing that screamed pump the brakes. Was definitely worth interviewing agents though to find not only the right fit, but one that had actual experience with VA backed loans and local credit unions, where we happened to finance.
Unfortunately I’ll be out of town on business when my wife gets the keys, but I’m back in town the next day, and off for a week following to move and start prepping the old house for sale.
Let me know if you want my realtor’s name and contact info. Or if you’re looking for a 4 bedroom house near downtown on the NE side. I’m selling it cheap and you take possession at close because we’ll already be out
