Cj this is what my friend said tell her if rebooting the system doesn't help the only option i see is to refresh the system (which basically reinstalls windows 8 without removing any of your personal files) but any installed software other than apps would have to be reinstalled...and i'm not even sure how to tell her how to do that and i'm just guessing based on a couple of forums that i read http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-windows_install/windows-8-apps-not-working/01014156-fee4-4 cbe-9744-47 c8 e07 b3314

Not sure in Rockmart, but Computer Depot in Cedartown does free diagnostics. They repaired one for me & couldn't repair the other. Were honest on both occasions.
