A guy who I knew in the early seventies, John Reilly, who I remember being in this kind of coffee house on upper State Street, says the name of the place was the Good Karma. And, yes another old friend of that era, Charles Schoengrund, had said it might be the Penny University and he did say it was on North Fairchild near State Street. I don't have access to old Madison City Directories, but I will Google"Good karma on State Street" and see if anything comes up.

We went to American Taco Company and it was great! FYI, I think they said everything there is GF except the burrito shells. And the owner said his wife has a peanut allergy, so he completely "gets" allergies, which is always comforting!
