Recommendations on a photographer for engagement photos in the Aurora/Naperville area for outside shoots??
Lorraine M. replied:
I do photography. Most of the stuff on my page is nature stuff but I photograph people too. Check it out and send me a message if you like what you see. The people shots are mixed in there too. I shoot all over so aurora naperville is no issue for me. www.facebook.com/capturedbylorraine

I am a local family photographer, and I also do engagement photos! I am very reasonably priced; I offer full sessions or mini sessions. A full session is 90 min, up to 2 wardrobe changes, and gets you 25-35 professionally edited images delivered on a disc with FULL copyrights. The cost is $150 A mini session is 45 min, and gets you 15-25 professionally edited images. The cost is $80 Here is my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/CurlyqphotographyinIllinois Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks, Laura (707) 330-9318
I'd like to thank everyone in this group for getting me interested in photography again. I haven't done much since the digital age arrived but Santa brought a Canon 70D...

Both actually, but I want to take what I learn and use with this camera. We live pretty close to PCC and I see they have several classes such as Digital Photography: Beyond the Basics, Mastering Your Digital Camera, etc. The classes are a about $200 but if I could learn the same thing on YouTube I might just do that.

I second the YouTube motion. There is so much really good stuff free that is available. And locally, come and join us at the Portland-Vancouver Photography Meetup (http://www.meetup.com/Portland-Vancouver-Photography-Group/) We're a group of about 150 photographers at all levels of skills and learning, from hobbyest to pro, and we're really friendly and willing to share.

Thanks for the tips. The Portland/Vancouver Photography Meetup Group sounds perfect. I think between this group and the streaming classes recommended by Norman I might be able to save my wife and I some money. From what I see, if we get hooked on this, we will need that money for lenses and other accessories down the road anyway.
