Driving instructors in Leicester I live in central Leicester. I’ve been learning to drive on and off since I was 19 (now nearly 25) and for about a year and a half...

My mums a driving instructor so a few things. Most people pass after around 30-40 lessons. This can be shortened by driving with family but you will need some core lessons as well. There’s little things about passing a driving test that your parents won’t be able to teach you. To learn to pass the test is really very different to learning to drive. The test isn’t hard but it is so incredibly easy to fail. My mum does blocks of 10 lessons so it wouldn’t be an issue there, but you’d also need to pay for 2 hours on the day (drive there, the test, drive back). My advice though would be to pay for 20 lessons at least. The driving instructor can focus on getting you to pass by taking you on test routes etc. A test is expensive there’s no point failing the first one and having to book 10 more lessons after.

The AA instructors are very good, my husband was in the same boat having come from the US and needing to pass the test despite knowing how to drive. Good luck!
