Bette W. replied:
I took a pair of black slacks to Joe's Dry Cleaners on Madison Blvd., or well, it;s called On the Spot Cleaners now, a few months back to get hemmed, they have new owners and all now, and the owner that was there the day I dropped them off got me to pu t them on so they could get the length just right, and they did, picked them up a few days later and they are just right, did a good job, can't remember how much I paid, not much seems like, maybe 6 or 7 dollars maybe
Anne S. replied:
We take ours over to Nu-Way Cleaners on Main. Fast, affordable, and they do good work.

My daughter makes costumes for a Re-enactment group of old England but she probably (1) lives too far away and (2) too busy. Demetriss has seen pictures of her work and was impressed. The only other really good seamstress I know is?????? Darn old age. Name slipped my mind. Oh yeah, Demetriss Tapp.
