Consider checking out International Montessori Academy in Southfield! It's on the Oak Park border, so it's within the same general area as some of the other places you're considering. (I personally had a bad experience with my son at Sunny Skies. You can PM me for details if you'd like.)

We were at Sunny Skies in HW and had a negative experience there https://www.facebook.com/367027400097243, although they've changed directors since so things could be different now. I run Macaroni Kid Ferndale Royal Oak, the local newsletter for parents in the area, so if you have any other questions feel free to message!

I've heard negative things about sunny skies... I haven't had a child attend. The Green Garden in Madison heights actually has really high reviews, serves organic vegetarian meals and gardens amongst other things. May be worth considering. I too have been doing research

We did Green Garden Child Development Center- green, organic, friendly staff, we were very very happy there! Erica Tank

Another vote for Grace Christian Learning center on big Beaver and John R in Troy. We've been there since 2012 and love it. Feels like a miniture school! They are loving and attentive, and on the logistical side very flexible with schedules. Feel free to PM me if you'd like!

I toured Sunny Skies in HW some years ago, and it was a definite "avoid" for a variety of reasons. My son has been going to The Learning Experience in Troy since 2013, we are generally happy with it.

We just started going last week to https://www.facebook.com/256696347685861 The Green Garden Child Development Center. They have a new location in Hazel Park. We live in RO but it's only about 8 mins from us. We're new there and to daycare but they're super flexible with days of the week and so far our daughter loves it.
