There's only the Halsetown Inn near enough to Polmanter to walk to. But there are buses that run to St Ives and back regularly, so you wouldn't have to take the car. There aren't any restaurants that have their own parking except places like Brewers Fayre in Hayle. You would need to find a car park in the town and walk from there. Peppers is nice, Caffe Pasta.
