Any German food lovers, and if so, any recommendations/opinions of the "Café Vienna" German (Austrian?) restaurant near 4th St. & 56th Ave?

check restaurant.com. I think they participated or at least they did. Might still be there.

The Beach Haus in Gulfport is suppose to have great sausages, goulash, and schnitzel. A German friend didn't like Cafe Vienna.
Margarete T. replied:
Beach Haus is better than Cafe Vienna, tho Beach Haus has a new chef and the schnitzel burger I had last week was not as good as in the past, There is supposed to be a good German Rest on East Bay in Largo. Haven't tried it. Old Castle Rest in Ruskin is a true German rest and of all of them the one I (a German) like the best. About a 30 min drive vis the Skyway.

I tried the new Beach Haus restaurant in Gulfport early last December for a light lunch. It was ok, but I think a bit over-priced, plus it's much farther for me since I live in NE St. Pete. I also tried "Sandra's" German restaurant in St. Pete Beach twice and it too was over-priced in my opinion and the waitress I think was unnecessarily standoffish. So, therefore, I am hoping the nearby Cafe' Vienna will be the answer to my interest in coming as close as possible to a hankering for real tasty and fair-priced German food.

Cafe Vienna is fabulous. It's small so I would suggest you make a reservation. Once you try it you will be sold
Guys, how about a local restaurant review? Been here a year and we mostly drive to Tampa Bandon to eat out.
Popi Place on 41 - had breakfast there many times, food is...

Ybor grill has some pretty yummy "dine in" food.. All of our food trucks are awesome including The Mullet Shack which is open every Saturday noon til 6 pm - down at Big Bend Road and 41 by the nursery.. Fried green tomatoes and much more ;)

Try the taco stand across from Ybor Grill. They do only take cash but very affordable. Ybor grill is good cuban style food. About as pricy as sun set but MUCH BETTER food, and service. Heard Maryanns subs next to s&s tacos is good. But they only have a fee signature sandwiches. Oh and heard the Great Wall in the dollar general shopping center has the best Chinese in the area. Try the Dawg House off shell point. Very delicious food.

The Doghouse and More ! Great variety of food, from fresh seafood to awesome bbq and everything in between. Rated # 1 on Trip Advisor out of 49 area restaurants:)

Yes S&S Taco is great! There is Ricky's on Apollo Beach Blvd that's good and Asian Fusion Buffet in the same plaza where the Sweetbay used to be off of 41. Beefs that's on the Apollo Beach Blvd as well. Other than that there are chain restaurants more into Riverview where they keep expanding. In Ruskin/Sun City Cnt, there's Denny's, Sonnys, Beefs, Hungry Howies and Little Cesar's lol not too much home stuff around.
I am trying to find the name of a restaurant, on the beach, who cleans and prepares the fish. I thought perhaps it could be the Oyster Bar but it isn't.
