Just be upfront with the body shop and let them know that you want cash pricing vs insurance. Any credible body shop will still offer the same lifetime warranty. I've used Shanahan's on Power Inn road both as a cash customer and through insurance.

Diamond Auto Body was helpful with a situation like this. Tell him exactly what you posted here and that you're trying to find ways to bring the costs down. It may take a little longer so hopefully you have a backup ride or alternate transportation.

I've heard some shops won't do OEM wheels because the process of powder-coating the wheel can weaken the structural integrity of said wheel and they want to avoid the liability.
