Looking for furniture store recommendations Hi everyone, as the title says I’m looking for some recommendations. I bought a cute bed frame from west elm almost three...

If you’re up for a bit of a drive there’s a Crate & Barrel Outlet in Tracy that can be hit or miss, but amazing deals. I got two dressers that retail for $5 k+ for $1200 and got an oversized chair that goes for $1K for $150. Sometimes there’s a few things wrong but other times it’s a couple scratches on things. It’s worth a trip IMO. However I think their bed frames tend to be very low to the ground. Edit. I also second the Scandinavian Designs. Cool place too!

Scanadanvian Design sounds up your alley if you like West Elm

Question on your west elm order: did you have it delivered to the store or to your home? We had bought a dining table and thought we’d save some money by having it delivered to the store and pick it up ourselves. Bad choice. Apparently orders to the store are handled differently and despite being in stock, that delivery never made it to the store. After a few phone calls with customer service, they canceled the order and reordered the table and had it sent to our house directly at no additional cost. Arrived 1 week later. A pain, but we didn’t want anymore IKEA furniture (trying to buy more quality). Have you tried contacting customer service?

Living Spaces is good. We used to go to the one in South Bay but they recently opened a Roseville store... https://www.livingspaces.com/

I like our west elm bed frame, but hate the leesa mattress. I've owned a number of ikea frames and mattresses in the past, and was ironically satisfied with the mattresses, but the frames don't last long before becoming wobbly/ rickety. The metal loft bed I owned not only wobbled alarmingly, but it was so squeaky and loud it bothered me AND my roommates. If ikea has any solid wood frames it might be worth a shot for the right price, but the laminate particle board bed frames just don't handle long term use well. I think the screws and other fittings just tear up the particle board too easily, weakening their structure. Great for kids beds, or guest rooms that won't see frequent use.

The River City Furniture Auction is a great place to get home furnishings and such. They have an online auction a couple times a week, and all you have to do is sign up for it, put in your credit card, and then register for the auction to bid. If you win, they charge your card (and add a 10% fee and sales tax) and then you schedule a time to go pick it up. Obviously, the downside is it's an auction, so if there's something you really like/want, you could potentially not get it, but if you're cost-conscious, it's a good option. They always have bed frames too, as well as a ton of other stuff: [http://www.rivercityfurnitureauction.com/](http://www.rivercityfurnitureauction.com/)

Kinda random suggestion but I've had good luck with Facebook marketplace. Don't know if you want to be as patient as it might require but sometimes there is very slightly used furniture (model home, catalog shoots, new stuff didn't fit/match and it's a hassle to return, etc.). Things do change daily. I found so many great deals over the two weeks I was looking after moving.

Steve Tiller at 530 Q st does excellent work. IMO, he's a bit pretentious but a quality craftsman.

I've heard good things about Furniture Co. on Stockton Blvd. I can also give a +1 to Wayfair, and in that same vein: Joss & Main, Ashley Furniture (the latter has physical stores as well) for other online purchasing. There's a Big Lots near my house that surprisingly isn't bad either but it can be pretty hit or miss.
Does anyone know of a good and affordable furniture store? No Ikea. No Craigslist. In need of a couch and futon/daybed/sofa bed. New spot = new furniture.

IKEA, Big Lots are in the same boat as Big Al's Furniture Barn; put it together yourself and cheap. Beck's and AFG has good stuff and warranties + financing. Naturewood and RC Willy are top notch but super expensive.

Heres my thought. If you want something cheap and temporary then IKEA or Rent a Center (Not good quality). Something nice but over priced American Furniture Gallery (not even worth it/RIP OFF). But if you want something nice, not expensive or cheap, Scandinavian Designs, Z-Gallery and RC Willeys (Thats where i get all my furniture). Just depends on your budget.
