Both their chiropractors are amazing and their message therapist is good to and do a lot of direct billing so there is a good chance if you have coverage they will be able to direct bill for you. They are located right by the St. Albert food bank. I have been going there for over 5 years and would not go anywhere else

I second Dr. Holzer. I had tailbone area pain which originated in my teens and when exacerbated would cause pain sitting and running for weeks at a time. It got worse during my pregnancies, and really reached a pinnacle when I returned to a desk job after mat leave. After a few visits with Dr. Holzer I experienced significant relief of the pain (this was after "toughing it out" for weeks of excruciating pain hoping it would go away), and after a few weeks he gave me the all clear! I did return for a few sessions a year later for an unrelated issue in my shoulder and upper back and was equally happy with the results.

St. Albert physio is amazing

I work at Synergy Family Wellness Centre for two incredible chiropractors: Dr Ed Osburn and Dr Karen Osburn. We have also brought in cold laser therapy to help soft tissue injuries as well. Lots of options out there! However, find a chiropractor willing to get a series of x-rays done before adjusting you. I see so many x-rays lately of patients who have undiagnosed structural issues that their chiropractor, MD and massage therapist should be aware of. We do x-rays in our office for most patients, so that we can rule out injuries and ensure it's absolutely safe for your adjustment.

not heat, my back guy says ice, and lay on floor and pull knees to chest hold. Works, I do however alternate with heat..feels good. Sierra Wellness Centre, they work with muscles and nerves rather than snapping bones...they have a massuse as well.

Dr Mark Holzer is a great chiropractor! I have seen him many times over the years for various back injuries

I've suffered for about 6 years with a subuxated tendon in my lower back. When it goes, it's crippling, and I have difficulty walking upright. As a result, I've seen both chiro and physio... so I'll share what I've learned to manage the pain. For me, the fastest relief from pain has been from physio. And unless things have changed lately, you can qualify for up to three physio treatments per year covered by Alberta Healthcare. In the meantime, alternate heat and cold. Heat travels on the same receptors as pain, so it will relieve some pain. Ice will help to reduce swelling (and as a result, pain). When you're not lying down, walk around; it will help loosen things up, and also helps to balance the pull of the muscles. I hope some of that helps!

Dr Jamie or Dr Heather at Grenier Place Wellness are the best around. And Kandice is the most amazing massage therapist!! All 3 helped me through a back injury and ongoing neck problems.

Whenever I throw my back out, I go see Stephanie Weihmann-Korfman at St. Albert Acupuncture & Wellness. I've tried massage, chiro, and physio but hands down she has given me the longest term relief.

Having used a chiropractor for 20+ years, leaving Edmonton-area and then returning a few years ago, he knew exactly what to do to correct my crookedness immediately. Very skilled. My dad has seen one of the Drs Chow (not sure which) and really liked him too.

I second the Chiro Clinic. Seriously the most wonderful ones I've ever had the pleasure of having as health care practitioners. Without both of their help, I would not be able to manage my chronic conditions. Love them to death there.
