Can anyone recommend a medical clinic with doctor's that understand English. I need to have a medical check up carried out, but I am not keen to go the American Clinic,...

Euromed has been cheaper for us than American Medical Clinic... but I do not know if it is always like that.

Most clinics have someone who speaks English. I would just go to one of the polyclinics near your home. They are cheap and surely can provide the document you need. I have had few needs but I just go to local Russian clinics. I was charged US prices f or second opinion at Medem regarding a hip problem. They did not even get it right but insisted on their $100 in vitamins is what I really needed. What I needed was a hip replacement and ended up getting excellent care and results going with a Russian surgeon and going to a Russian hospital and can't compliment them enough how well I was treated and how well the operation was successful. My insurance that was costing me $824 a month denied coverage when I was visiting back home but would to it for $90,000 plus therapy. I had it done by the best orthopedist in St Petersburg and the total including nice private room and excellent nursing care was $5700 including the same joint that the US hospital wanted $12500 for. I left the hospital early because of the fast progress. What is normally a painful slow recovery due to the number of muscles cut, was quite different than feared or reported by almost everyone who had it done back in the US. I was not in pain, never asked for or received any pain medication from the time I woke up in the recovery area. My advice if anyone needs something more serious than the health checkup, is to seek out the advice of friends in the medical community here, they know who is good and isn't and when I did, the same name came up repeatedly. For minor health needs, I do not hesitate to go to the local Russian clinics.
