Cabot Dental. We've gone there for years and have been very happy. And yes, they do root canals in office. In fact, my husband broke a tooth over the weekend and called this morning. They had him come in, pulled it out, no charge.

Teeth extractions are over in a couple seconds. Plus there is always a risk with General anesthesia. I don't think most will put you under for dental work.

I grew up in southern NH and the dentist I still go to is in Salem at a place called Stiles Family Dentistry. They are used to working with kids so that might help you. It's right on Stiles road in Salem (hense the name). Good luck!

Do **NOT** go to a regular dentist for a tooth extraction. Go to an oral surgeon (maxillofacial surgeon). There's too many things that can go wrong a surgeon would need to be fix, and you could be in a lot of pain until you get to one if it gets botched (learned this the hard way). It is no more expensive. Highly recommend Dr. Gregory Shaker, he has offices in Dover and Exeter and is affiliated with Wentworth Douglas hospital. His office may be able to refer someone closer to you.

I was in the same boat as you. Skipped the dentist for 10 years, had a bunch of cavities and a couple teeth that needed crowns. I went to Dr. Paul Matthew in Salem. http://www.drpaulmathew.com/ Would highly recommend. He's knowledgeable about tech, very friendly, has a great staff, and most importantly is trained in sedation dentistry. You need to have someone to ferry you to and from the appointments, but you'll not remember the bit inbetween. Good luck!
