Liesel Sylwester is amazing, don't know if she's currently doing custom work or not. I went to college with her, she's been sewing her own clothes forever, has a great sewing resume including currently working at Pendleton. I had her make a dress for me and I absolutely love it. She's located in Portland.
I am looking for a seamstress or someone who does wedding dress alterations in the Salem, Oregon area for a good price. If anyone has a suggestions please comment. Thank...

I'm looking for a costume seamstress/seamster(?) Looking for someone to make some costumes. Are you one or know of anyone?
GraytoGreen replied:
There is seamstress in Ebgleburg Antiks. I recall meeting a woman once in a thrift store that told me she makes costumes exclusively (I think she makes them for Elsinor productions too) but I can remember her name. If it comes to me I'll edit this post.

I'm looking for a seamstress to do alterations for my May 30th wedding. I live in Albany but would be willing to travel if anyone has good recommendations.
Salem friends,
My incredible tailor 'Master Tailor' has retired. I need a new one. Suggestions?
Also please vote!

Chong at Keizer Cleaners - reasonably priced, fast, and it's a couple of doors down from the Sub Shop (best subs in the area!). If you need more detailed tailoring, I've used Complete Alterations and had great results, although it's a two week minimum turnaround.
Susanne S. replied:
I use Complete Alterations as well, which is a block south of Konditorei (she does uniforms for law enforcement, and those folks always look good ). Although the turnaround time is tricky if you're a procrastinator. I'm interested in other suggestions myself.

Lorraine Fullerton used to costume for me at Pentacle Theatre. You could see if she does that. P. S. I work across the street from you now
I am having trouble finding a dress to wear to my son's upcoming wedding. I looked in stores but nothing appropriate in my size. I looked on-line, too much selection...
So...bought new dress pants but need help taking them in around the waist. Anyone have recommendations of an awesome seamstress??
