dont use 1800 flowers they suck and deliver about 1/2 the time. Oak hills florist is pretty good 210-349-6549

If you include the area of town, that'll narrow it down a lot. San Antonio is huge and individual florists have relatively small delivery areas.
greenhearted replied:
Ask the concierge at the hotel. They'll give you the closest florist.

Car rentals in LA are fairly cheap. Uber is super cheap as well. An uber from LAX to Long Beach will cost you about $27 depending on traffic. A Taxi will cost close to $70. You wont need a car to explore sites near the Renaissance. The Pike and Pine Street are very walkable. Close to Aquarium as well. Steer clear of the Vagabond Hotel on Alamitos Ave. Lots of tweekers there.
SpikeNLB replied:
Look into the $9 [Fly Away](http://www.lawa.org/FlyAway/content.aspx?id=13015) from LAX to the LB Transit Mall, less then a 5 minute walk to the Renaissance. Whale/dolphin cruise and Aquarium is about a 10 min walk, be advised there are LOTS of kids at the Aquarium on weekends. It's summer, there are no days when D.land is not crowded. Look around online for motels in the DTLB area for lower cost accommodations or AirBnB Oh, anything that /u/DrNastyHobo suggests will more then likely end with you in a blackout at 4 AM, robbed and stripped to your underwear somewhere near the homeless encampments off the LA River.

If you aren't wanting to check out anything further than long beach, I would advise against renting a car. It's fairly easy to navigate long beach via uber or lyft, and even bikes! They just started a bike share program (I do not know how expensive they are though). The bus system isn't great, but it's cheap and will get you from a to b.

If you've never been to Disneyland, you should go. It will be a summer crowds, but not unmanageable. Check out the disneyland sub for good strategies. IMO, you should plan to either be there at rope drop or post fireworks. Staying near pine street is great - tons of fun restaurants and bars. Hit me up of you have any questions. :)

Okay. You have two options: Get a rental car. Why? Uber will add up fast and limit your freedom. The whole back and forth between your hotel / the airport, back and forth between Disneyland, to the aquarium, to get a bite to eat, or whatever else. Then you add on surge pricing and you end up spending hundreds of dollars just for rides. I definitely recommend just getting a rental car. You'll feel like you'll have so much more freedom to go anywhere in SoCal. You can get your morning coffee, a bite to eat anywhere, drive around, adventure, etc. With an uber it's stop and go, you know? OR, you can save even more money and take public transportation. You can take an Uber to and from the airport, but LB transit is actually a treasure. It usually runs every 20 minutes during peak hours and will get you anywhere in LB for a 1.25. It can even get you to Disneyland. I only recommend doing this if you're somewhat experienced with taking the bus though. The only downside is it takes longer to get to where you wanna go but it will save you a lot of money. And I agree, you have to go to Disneyland. Knotts Berry Farm is not worth your time. It's fun, but I would never go as a visitor. You shouldn't get a huge crowd at Disneyland - the crowds have actually been pretty tolerable because of the prices going up / so many rides being down / etc. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Get a rental car. The Hyatt downtown is pretty nice and not super expensive. On Saturday go to the beach. Maybe not the Long Beach city beach but Seal Beach, Newport, Huntington are all really short drives.

Look into Turo if you want to rent a car. It's a car share service and I've rented for as low as $12 per day from LAX. If you want to keep it super cheap, take the Metro Green Line from LAX, transfer to the Blue Line into DTLB. Everything in LB is easily accessible by foot, or public transportation via LB Transit.
Disneyland is in peak season right now, so it's always going to be crowded, however I've been noticing Saturdays haven't been as bad lately because most of the annual pass levels are blocked from visiting/the introduction of tiered pricing. An Uber ride to Disneyland will run you appx $24. Knott's .... eh. If you've never been, it's worth it at least once, but it's in my opinion, run down and not how it used to be. The Aquarium/Whale Watching cruise combo ticket is absolutely awesome. Blue whales are offshore right now, and incredible to see in person.
Based on the things you wanted to do, I'd visit Disneyland on Sunday. You'll need an entire day for this, especially if you do both parks - if you get there when it opens you can easily knock out most of the e-ticket attractions. Monday, you can do the Aquarium/Whale Watching cruise and have time left to explore Downtown LB. Saturday afternoon, if you have a car, I'd head up to Venice Beach or drive up the coast a bit.

Depends on what you are looking for. Hotel wise I love the Valencia, low key lighting, great bar, modern vibe, and a good restaurant. If you are looking for the typical mega hotel the Grand Hyatt is great. If I cant get a room at the Valencia I usually go with the Contessa.

I have stayed at the Marriott on the riverwalk and Hotel Indigo near The Alamo. The riverwalk is walking distance from Hotel Indigo. They're both really nice hotels. You might be able to find good deals on Hotel Tonight or Groupon for a hotel nearby.

If you'll be here on July 4 th, you may wanna do some research as to which hotels/hotel rooms (probably call and request a room facing the tower) face the tower. There'll be fireworks off the tower and downtown will be a mad house. If you could watch fireworks from the comfort of your room if you choose, that would be nice. Just a suggestion, but if you're gonna do that I'd start looking now.

Not sure about where you should go, but if you are you need to book a room asap. Most places are already near capacity and are only going to increase prices
