David Bowden, our lot is on the west side of Williamson Valley Rd...with Granite Mtn. pretty close straight south. The Doce fire went through there last year and has brought the danger of recurrence down pretty low - at least for a few years, I guess! Our lot has very little in the way of major combustibles. If you want something that is unique (not like everything else in town), and someone who listens to you, talk with Mike Peloquin. He has designed over 200 homes locally. Past clients are thrilled to let you see their homes and will give you references. It is imperative to have your design done BEFORE contracting with a builder, if you want to have complete control over what you get. Peloquin has been designing in Prescott for 30 years, and is qualified to design in all areas and developments. Repeat clients also highly recommend his construction oversight service, finding that it eliminates costly changes and mistakes, common in this area. Another important recommendation: check with the Registrar of Contractors before contracting with any builder. You will be relieved that you did...
