Balboa Park, while not anywhere near a beach, is a great location and quite cheap to boot. http://www.balboapark.org/info/events. I got married in the Rose Garden about 12 years ago and it was only $25 for the reservation. Drinking of alcohol is banned on beaches and in city parks unless you have a permit for a specific location and it can be costly if you're caught not following the rules so be careful.

I bartended a wedding once at the Mission Bay women's club. It was a nice little venue with a small outside area that can host like a cocktail hour. I did a quick scan of their website and prices are modest, I'm not sure of your budget. $1000 Monday-Thursday for 6 hours. $1200 Friday and Sundays $1500 Saturdays. Hope this helps!

San deiguito county park is pretty. Im getting married there in October and its very nicely priced plus beer/wine is allowed. They do close at right after sunset so if you were planning on a reception running later in the evening it wouldn't work for you. Beach weddings (ceremonies and reception) are fairly affordable as well

Any Wedding Planner Recommendations? I recently found some other small wedding vendors through reddit who are fantastic and would love to find a planner too if anyone...

i do!! I used [this company]( http://sdweddingplanner.com/about-us/), specifically Rachel Finn, and here's my quick story about why she's amazing: Our catering company/day of wedding coordinator went out of business 3 months before the wedding. We were able to find another caterer fairly easy but now I had no wedding planner/coordinator/nothing. I met with Rachel and she was so easy to work with and made the day of so much easier to manage. We got married at the Windmill in Carlsbad, and during the reception she drove all the way to Downtown to check us into our hotel so we wouldn't have to deal with it, then she decorated the room with candles & rose petals. She really went the extra mile and it was greatly appreciated.

I had day of coordination with a [company](http://www.lvlevents.com/) out of OC. We had multiple calls and they coordinated the rehearsal and day of events. I loved it and I love the events they do.

We had Sarah (http://www.sparkleigh.com/index.html) as our day-of coordinator and she was great! If there were any hiccups or issues that happened during the wedding, she took care of it and it all went smoothly. She also had brought backups for just about anything (we forgot our cake toppers). Our florist, Abby (http://sugarroseflowers.com), is a friend of Sarah's and did an amazing job with our flowers and was really affordable. I've recommended both of them to all our friends and have heard nothing but glowing reviews. Good luck with your wedding planning and feel free to PM me if you have any questions.
