I don't know specific restaurants (recently moved here) but I would say Habachi or Korean BBQ. Habachi especially because the table is a big square and your / his parents don't have to be seated next to each other or close enough for conversation!

I second the Hibachi recommendation, I like [Shiro of Japan](http://www.shiroofjapan.com/) a lot.

Spring Shabu Shabu is one of my favorite hot pot restaurants. You’re constantly getting up to get food and cooking your food. I think hibachi might be a better choice, although once the chef is gone you’re kind of stuck with each other lol

Why even meet if they won't talk to one another? The fact that you believe that they have a language barrier and they aren't willing to overcome it is a forshadowing of your future. I know this isn't relationship advice but seriously, let your parents figure this out themselves if you want a successful relationship.

Havanna Central in the Roosevelt field mall has loud live music you can barely talk to each other while you eat. Toku in the Americana Manhasset mall has some dishes that will take your attention away. There's an appetizer that comes with a hot stone where you cook your own steak strips and a desert plate that comes on a block of dry ice which spews out 'steam' - pretty cool place.

Don’t have a particular location suggestion since I’m in eastern Suffolk and don’t know too many places in Nassau, but maybe something like hibachi? Plenty of entertainment watching the chef cook and they shoot sake in everyone’s mouth.
