How does your local RealtorĀ® association communicate best with its members? Via their website or via a Facebook group page..? I am asking about something other than...
Sharon P. replied:
1) Dyna Connections is company who programmed the MLS website for that feature and 2) yes, they do have website but I don't think most agents visit it very often (probably the most when continuing ed is due) and consumers have brief exposure. The Association I belong to is: succeedwithmore.com

RRAR.com does a great job in recent years. We have communication on their website, it's in the middle of the home page on MLS, we get emails about important and/or useful stuff, they have a FB page, group on Linkedin that is updated daily, a YouTube channel, a twitter account etc. I never really have to go looking for anything. Most anything they would need to communicate to me is usually in front of me at some point in the day They probably mail a newsletter too but I haven't seen one in a while. Tessa Hultz is the CEO and been doing a great job getting more and more communication out to the members. Tell your board to check out what ours is doing.

Michelle Poccia, unfortunately, my note is not so positive. In a recent survey by our Assoc. the number one method preferred by members was email. However, most members do not even open their email! They have admitted so at every asking. They either delete it or put into a file for later...which often never comes. It is the number one asked and fretted over question, How to communicate with members? It was even the topic at NAR last year. As I recall in classes, communication is 2 way, a message and a recipient. It just seems there is so much noise via social and business messages, that folks are turned off. Preferring to seek that which they have interest and ignore what others want them to have interest. Please share any insights at the end of your survey here.
