I've had good luck at frontier spay and neuter. I have a couple large newfies. I think one of the vets there might raise mastiffs or some other large breed.

Orchard veterinary care on Broadway, Dr. Orchard. She's fantastic, down to earth, and goes the extra mile for your pets. My brother was going to dr.chu, but I got them to see orchard and they have switched entirely.

Corman Park Vet about 5 minutes west of Stoon on Hwy 14 and they deal with anything from gerbils to horses and cows. They're really friendly and knowledgeable, I recommend them.

My old roommate (who has a dane) liked Martensville's vet clinic. I don't have the specifics but I know he's had 2 dogs go there now.

Stonebridge Veterinary Hospital has been great for our cats. I saw the vet looking at a dog shortly after our last visit and he seems to genuinely enjoy animals, which is an unfortunate rarity from the vets I've seen for the past few years. His assistant was great too in getting our giant 18 pound cat on the scale.
Looking for a great veterinarian in the Saskatoon area, preferably one that is great with large dogs. Any recommendations greatly appreciated.

Deanna, Theresa Cook at Frontier is wonderful. Prices are fantastic, she is very well known for her large breed dog experience, she also has a degree in canine nutrition, which is rare. She has her own large dogs, too.

Any recommendations for exotic pet vets in Saskatoon?
DjEclectic replied:
It might help if you let us know what kind of exotic pet you have.

give Martensville Vet a shout (http://myvethosp.ca/service-category/avianmedicine/) they've been spectacular with our dogs and cat. A friend has a bird he takes there. Out of town is a bit of a pain sometimes but the service I've had there is absolutely stellar (and for my dogs knee surgery, they were cheaper than the U of S vet training hospital thingy)

I have two chinchillas. I've seen a couple different vets at Acadia veterinary clinic and it was a huge waste of money. I'm pretty sure they left the room to Google issues (like I already had) and brought me no solutions. When I went to get my male chinchilla fixed (very risky) I went to the university small animals clinic and the main vets and student vets were wonderful. They really took their time, were sweet with my pet and kept him a couple days to really make sure he was healing properly. They called me every day to give me updates and even after I took him home to see how he was doing. Everything was very well explained and nothing was rushed. My pet wasn't the least bit stressed when I took him home.

My vet is Dr Rachel Podborochynski (probably spelled it wrong) at Lakeview Vet Clinic. She loves all our dogs and is such a nice person. I don't find them to be unreasonably expensive, and all the people there are great.
