Do any of you camp in other places than Provincial parks? Any comments on Land's End Park or Batman's Cottages and campground?

Your on to something there. Conservation areas, national and provincial parks focus on nature. Private parks can sometimes be inclusive only to seasonal campers. I've been to a few good ones for sure..but you don't get the same nature aspect at all and the sites are on top of each other...however some have a lot of fun planned activites pools and hot tubs. These parks would be good for kids as they are contantly engaged. We enjoy both but generally book mostly Provincial campgrounds. We also try out different private parks. Would recommend a Good Sams card if your going to do private parks for discount of 10%. Also their parks are generally pretty good. Some of the private parks are downright weird...we pulled into one mid week and had a older couple approach us and ask if we were staying the season. We were there four days only..they left us alone. But someone else who did proclaim they were staying the season they wouldn't leave alone...also some parks do some weird things like non-seasonals wear wrist bands...this means you've got a target of being a newbie short term. Very odd...Full hookups are pretty awesome. Some privates offer wifi and cable..I know a lot of you will ask why bother 'camping' with all this lol...it's just a different experience all together. Both are enjoyable. Would highly recommend Cedar Beach Trailer Resort in Stouville. Lots of activites to keep you busy. Civic weekend they had a awesome street party...would not be suitable for a tent.

Gina Knezevic Graham. I think new owners took over since we were there. It was a lovely spot and only a short drive to town. I think it got snobby.

Kathryn Anne: Cypress Lake would have been a good one for me in the past. However, I need hydro as my husband has an apnea machine and we are not equipped for autonomy camping (sorry I forgot what is the right expression)...
