Dentist accepting new patients I was hoping to get some recommendations on dentists in Albany who people have had good experiences with. I have MetLife for dental but...

Lipnick and Gigilo on upper New Scotland Ave near 85. Always accepting new patients and are awesome. My whole family goes there and about half of my office.

Albany upstate dental in downtown Albany has been fantastic for me. My wife and I have been using them for years.

I found Dr. Taranto's office through a similar thread from a few months ago. He performed a crown, and a variety of less intensive procedures and I was very happy with both the quality and the price. 1484 Western Ave # 1, Albany, NY 12203[(518) 869-8374](https://www.google.com/search?source=hp&ei=NadbXPjUO4Xw_AaFgb_gAw&q=dr.+taranto+albany+ny&btnK=Google+Search&oq=dr.+taranto+albany+ny&gs_l=psy-ab.3..0 i22 i30.247.4006..4217...2.0..0.138.2314.14 j10......0....1..gws-wiz.....0..35 i39 j0 j0 i131 j0 i67 j0 i20 i263 j0 i22 i10 i30 j0 i13 j0 i13 i30.qa4518 c7W_c#)

Dr. Christopher Walsh (1829 Western Ave, Albany, NY 12203) is really great, as is everyone who works in his office. I couldn't recommend highly enough.

Barats Family Dental next to St Peters.Steller service. I hate the dentist avoided them for years but they recently did 2 deep cleanings & 11 fillings .No issues!

If you don't mind 10 minutes of travel, Hudson Valley Dental in East Greenbush is great. I've had a lot of work done and they're very good.

I did some research myself recently and came up with Stephen Harris on 1735 Central Avenue. Excellent bed-side manner, great staff. Does more procedures in his office than other dentists do.
BenjaminSkanklin replied:
I use Albany Dental Care, but not with Dr. Winter They're pretty good, laid back and quick. One thing I really like is that they charge the full amount to my HSA card and then reimburse me with a check. Probably not optimal for everyone but I have like 3 grand more than I need in that sucker

I've a great experience at Lasting Impressions, on Albany-Shaker Road.

If you're willing to brave Hoosick St. up to Brunswick, Dr. Judith Purcell is an excellent option and she is accepting new patients last I checked. I've been going to her since I was a kid.

Recently started going to Western Dental, 2021 Western ave. Super nice Doc and assistants. The billing woman was very helpful with managing/explaining my annual deductible vs what I need to pay. I use Guardian insurance, hope yours is covered there too!

Best dentist I have found is Dr. Cocozzo at Malta Family Dental (Exit 12). It is worth traveling to her.
I have to find a new family dentist and orthodontist because my dentist does not participate in our current plan. Suggestions for either or both?
Elizabeth S. replied:
For orthodonture I can recommend Abigail's Decker, Sbuttoni, Boghosian, DiCerbo and Lawless. They have 3 locations the closest being 15 Century Hill Drive, Latham. 518-786-1318. They take Delta Dental among others. I have heard great things about DeLuke who is closer, but he's not in our ins plan. We go to Frederick Levine for dentist, but since we just started last year - so far so good.
Allison G. replied:
I recently switched to Frederick J. Marra in Cohoes and think they are great there!

Burlingame Orthodontics is awesome!!!
Gynger C. replied:
We go to Molino/Vaccaro Dentist on Upper Union. Good Nisky families, and have known them both since they were kids (yes, it makes me feel extremely old to have known your dentist since they were babies.....they're supposed to be much older than you are!) For orthodontist, we LOVE Byrne Orthodontics in Saratoga, but it's a drive, and you may not want to do that.
Susan G. replied:
I used to go to Dr.Levine on Rosa Rd. for dentist really liked him., small, personal practice. The girls went to Decker, Bhogasian and Lawless in Latham for ortho.
Scott M. replied:
I just switched to Molino/Vaccaro. Delta Dental sends the checks to me and I have to pay them, but otherwise there aren't any insurance issues.
Susan T. replied:
Peter Gold on Union Street was our dentist for 20 years-and our children's-very good technically and very kind, family oriented-great staff and hygienists (with him a long time, which is a measure of who he is as well). Our orthodontist was Peter Pfaffenbach...fabulous, wonderful, great with all three boys...great helping us with our move. His wife is his receptionist and she is lovely and very good as well. Wish we could have brought both of them with us to Texas! Good luck
Molly G. replied:
I should have mentioned, our current dentist, orthodontist- Molino, Hoskinson. They do not subscribe to Met Life Dental
Laura D. replied:
we are also a DeLuke family. Dr. Mike was even Madeline's orthodontist. And the DeLuke practice on Nott is ideal.
Does anyone know a dentist that is open right now?
