Looking for personal chef on a very unprofessional level I have excuses but they don't matter. I'm young with too much money and the idea of cooking makes me anxious....
Good evening. I'm a cook and a decent baker. Still looking?

I'd be down to do this, I love cooking and baking, but I'm vegan and I don't fuck with nonvegan ingredients, so it depends on what you're looking for I guess.
Looking for recommendations on commercial kitchens available for personal chef usage. West Seattle to Cap Hill areas. Thanks!

How you tried any of the local meal delivery services? I live alone, work 6 days a week and honestly just hate cooking. I've paid friends and chefs to cook a weeks worth...

I've used Munchery 3-4 times. I was actually pretty surprised by the quality, it's generally very good. There are some misses, so just make sure to read the reviews and gauge based on your tastes (best thing I've had was the salmon with orzo). The nutrition info is right there in the app so you know what you're getting into. Some options are much healthier than others. The problem I have with Muchery is the price...you have to pay a delivery fee (think it's like $3 or so). There's also a tip field. They claim that they pay their drivers a living wage and tipping is not required. But tipping is ingrained in me...so I still do it. So after you get your ~$10 meal it can end up being $18 or so. It's more cost-effective to get a couple meals at once for that reason. I do think the meals themselves are reasonably priced for the quality. It's just the overhead of the fee that bugs me.
I will say though, it feels good to eat a "real" meal with minimal effort. Basically you can reheat at 325 in the oven for 10-15 minutes or microwave for a minute or two. Generally each meal has a main and a side or two. There's a couple options, you can schedule your delivery if you order before a certain time. The whole reason I use the service is for when I won't have time to cook (usually unexpected), so I haven't done that. The other option is "asap" delivery where they give you a time estimate before you order. For me that's been a "worst case" and it's generally come 10-15 minutes earlier (ymmv of course).
There's a ton of packaging though, which feels wasteful. Most of it can be composted if that makes you feel better. It would be nice if there was a way to reuse containers. Anyway, they have a pretty generous referral system if you're interested. You'd get a $20 credit and so would I. PM me if you're interested. I don't work for them or anything.

Chef Anita Hardy came into my kitchen once a month (sometimes every other week) for several years. She came up with meal suggestions based on my likes and dislikes and then we'd pick 4 or 5 meals for a cook day. She cooked me delicious meals to my specifications (no carrots, skin always on chicken) for the freezer. She's great fun and really easy to work with. I'd highly recommend. (She also was always happy to pick up any groceries I wanted when she shopped the day before cook day.) http://www.bushelandpeckdinners.com/

ACME Farm + Kitchen is great. It's like a combo CSA/meal prep service -- you get a bunch of local produce/meat/pantry items and recipes, and a lot of the ingredients are prepped already, so all you have to do is cook. Saves a ton of time, and the recipes are bomb.

I just heard about "Fresh and Ready". Weekly menus, free delivery but must have your order in by Saturday for that week's worth of meals. I haven't tried it yet, but heard good things from a neighbor.

They don't deliver very far, maybe a mile, but Eat Local has great food. There is one in Queen Anne and Burien. Frozen meals, made locally. I have had most everything that doesn't have seafood in it and liked them all. The membership is a good deal if you think you'll be buying from them long term. Totally worth going there for a week or two worth of dinner you don't have to think about. Edit: Turns out there are 4 locations and they deliver anywhere in Seattle.

I used Spoonrocket a couple times, and honestly I was pretty disappointed. Very few options, limited times for operation, the food is not as high quality as it should be (seemed stale a few times?), they don't operate during the summer, and like Munchery the fees really get you.

There are probably a few near you that already have delivery. I suggest using them first. From the restaurant perspective, we prefer having our people represent the brand. It's also usually faster. We don't outsource delivery for this, among other reasons. Call around, you might be surprised how many places have a guy for that. My shop has numerous regulars who are consistent down to what time they call on a certain day, they get preferential treatment. You can, too! What neighborhood are you in? We probably can crowd source a list for the wiki of places that deliver tasty food. Also, don't discount the power of calling ahead. I have Thai Tom in my contact list and feel like Moses during the rush. Walk in, cash money, walk out.
