I would never recommend Dam vets as our dog was booked in for the wrong operation (tooth out instead of spaying) then when I took her to the new vet (Minster vet at Crocky hill) they said she had several cysts

We have used Dam Vets for over 20 yrs with 3 dogs, hamsters, gerbils, birds...they are brilliant. The do a good puppy socializing thing.

Would recommend Holmefield Vets in Brayton. Have also heard good things about Howden from dog owning couple in our street. Have had bad experience from Dam Vets. Speaking to others I'm not alone in this.

If you have transport and can get to York, you can go to RSPCA Animal home Clinic. It's on a Wednesday and Friday, get there around lunch time. I think it's £15 as a standard donation, and that covers pretty much what you should need. If that's too much money, give them a ring because they may be able to assess you on a case by case basis. X
